Physical Education in St Patrick’s De La Salle
We, as a staff believe a physically educated child is defined as one who:
- Has learned the skills necessary to perform a variety of physical activities.
- Is physically fit.
- Participates regularly in physical activity. We ensure that each child gets a minimum of 60 mins of physical education each school week.
- Knows the benefits of involvement in physical activity.
- Is aware of the importance of physical activity and its importance to our overall health.
Staff are at all times upskilling in the area of PE through attending various seminars and training on physical literacy and developing motivation and confidence in pupils.
